Protection of personal data :

Personal data (i.e. any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person) or business information of our clients is collected and processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679/EU of 27 April 2016 (General Data Protection Regulation).

We only collect and process personal data that you have provided to us or that you have made public.

If you are a natural person, the data processed includes notably your name, address, date and place of birth, nationality, occupation, contact details, bank details, or any other personal data contained in the file entrusted to us. If you are a legal entity, the same categories of data may be processed with respect to (i) our contact people within your company and (ii) your beneficial owners.

NG Legal processes personal data for the purposes of providing legal services and to comply with legal and regulatory obligations to which NG Legal is subject.

We will not process your personal data for marketing purposes.

We will not transfer or disclose your personal data to any third party, save in compliance with our legal obligations or with your prior consent.

NG Legal informs you that your data is kept exclusively for the purpose of processing the case while it is in progress, and after the case is closed, for five years.

You have the right to request to NG Legal :

(i) to access your personal data;

 

(ii) to ask for your personal data be rectified if it is inaccurate or incomplete;

 

(iii) to object to the processing of your personal data;

 

(iv) to ask for erasure of your personal data;

 

(v) to request data portability if certain conditions set out in the General Data Protection Regulation are met.

Anti-money laundering rules :

NG Legal is subject to applicable anti-money laundering and counter terrorism financing obligations pursuant to which we have to identify our clients. The identification of clients for anti-money laundering and counter terrorism financing purposes is conducted pursuant to our internal “know your client” procedure, which we reserve the right to amend from time to time depending on the evolution of international and local provisions. 

NG Legal is also held to an obligation of due diligence as a result of which we may are under the duty to report a client if we have the suspicion or have reasonable grounds to suspect money laundering or financing of terrorism or any attempt thereof under applicable law or regulation. in such a case, we can not inform the client of the reporting and the legal obligation to report a client overrides our duty to professional secrecy towards the client.
